The Company

eHealth Technologies is the leading provider of medical record retrieval and organization services and image-enabled Health Information Exchanges (HIEs). With customers across the country, eHealth Technologies works with prominent HIEs and the nation’s top-ranked hospitals, including 16 of the 20 US News & World Report Honor Roll Hospitals for 2018-2019. The company’s eHealth Connect® solution enhances patient and physician satisfaction by streamlining referrals and intelligently aggregating patients’ clinical records. This assures physicians have the right healthcare information to care for their patients, right when they need it. As a critical adjunct to HIEs, eHealth Connect® Image Exchange enables the automated access to all types of medical images in the context of the aggregated patient record, in full diagnostic quality, and supports the ability of providers to meet Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements.

The Partnership

eHealth Technologies was referred to the Topmark team by the Co-Founder and CEO of another of our portfolio companies in Rochester, NY. eHealth Technologies represented the Topmark team’s fourth investment in a company based in Rochester, NY. We were attracted to the company by their proven technology-enabled solution for medical record retrieval and growing business with a significant portion of the top 100 hospitals in the U.S. Topmark co-led the company’s first institutional financing round. Serving on the Board of Directors, Topmark collaborated with management on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, finance, recruiting senior management, and corporate strategy.

Topmark invested in eHealth Technologies through a legacy fund and exited its investment when Aldrich Capital Partners acquired a controlling interest in the spring of 2019.

From the first meeting, I was impressed by how quickly and thoroughly the Topmark team understood our value proposition. Topmark has been a trusted advisor for over ten years. We count on them to speak the truth, even if it’s not always easy to hear. I continue to call on Topmark for advice and I would welcome an opportunity for us to work together again.
