The Company

Electronic Data Resources provided services to business merchants to facilitate the electronic processing of credit card, debit card, and check transactions. The company also provided point-of-sale equipment and other ancillary products and services.

The Partnership

Electronic Data Resources was led by a management team with deep industry expertise and a proven track record of building, scaling, and successfully exiting high growth payment processing businesses. Topmark was attracted by the company’s rapidly growing, recurring revenue business model and the growing market for point of sale transactions. Topmark played an active and collaborative role as an adviser to the management team. We collaborated with management on a wide range of issues, including capital markets, corporate strategy, and identified co-investors and played an active role in the negotiation of the sale of the Company.

Topmark invested in Electronic Data Resources through a legacy fund and exited its investment when Inverness Management LLC, a private equity group, acquired a controlling interest in 2005.
