The company’s devices and procedural methods improve the treatment of patients who suffer from serious neurological diseases including tumors and cancers, neurodegenerative disorders and acute stroke.
The Partnership
Image-Guided Neurologics was led by a management team with deep industry expertise and a proven track record of building, scaling, and successfully exiting high growth healthcare businesses. Topmark was attracted by Image-Guided Neurologics’s proprietary technology, large addressable market, and strong investor base. Topmark played an active and collaborative role as an adviser to the management team. We collaborated with management on a wide range of issues, including capital markets, corporate strategy, and eventual sale of the company.
Topmark invested in Image-Guided Neurologics through a legacy fund and exited its investment when Medtronic PLC (NYSE: MDT) acquired a controlling interest in 2005.
