Pat Scheper supports Topmark Partners in sourcing investment opportunities and advising portfolio companies on debt capital funding strategies. He joined the firm as a Consultant in 2025 and is based in Durham, North Carolina.
Prior to joining Topmark Partners, Pat served as Head of Venture Banking at Live Oak Bank, where he founded the practice and led efforts to support venture-backed companies in regional markets across the US. Previously, he spent over eight years at Silicon Valley Bank, where he held multiple leadership roles including Director of SVB Strategic Capital and Relationship Manager for the Carolinas region. His earlier experience includes Venture Banking roles at Square 1 Bank, serving as an analyst at Hatteras Funds, and working as a Business Services Officer at BB&T.
In addition to his work at Topmark, Pat is the Founder of River Run Advisors, a boutique consulting firm that works primarily with Venture Capital firms and Early Stage companies. He also proudly serves as an advisor to his family’s small business.
Mr. Scheper earned his B.S. in Finance, with honors, from Virginia Tech.
